The brief was to develop and reinvent Mackenzies and create a memorable destination venue for customers day and night and to maximize trading oppurtunities. To give the exterior a facelift with inside folding doors, a new staircase and remove old bar. Accessorise with artwork and improve the lighting system.
Mackenzies has been trading for 17 years and has now been given a new image whilst not departing from its core values.The venue is highly flexible and adaptable. Functions and live sports are catered for on both floors and a larger space has been provided to increase capacity by the removal of a central wall downstairs. It has the pub feel but also created the family friendly environment.
Upstairs can be used separately at any given time, it features brown leather fixed seating, large contemporary chandeliers, back wall lighting, plasma screens and 2 new bars. The project was completed within 4 weeks of closing for refurbishment.
